Week 6 Preview - vs. Leeds Gryphons

As the season reaches its halfway point, the Sheffield Sabres and the Leeds Gryphons are having contrasting campaigns. The Gryphons sit unbeaten atop the division, whilst the Sabres are yet notch up their first win of the season.

The Sabres will want to avenge their own performances more than anything, especially after last weekend’s defeat against the UCLan Rams, a game that you can justifiably say the Sabres beat themselves in.

The Gryphons are coming off a bye-week and will be hoping the weekend off hasn’t interrupted their early season momentum. The two teams met for the BUCS season opener, with the Gryphons coming out on top 42-19, and have gone from strength to strength since.

Kick-off is on Sunday 8th December at 2pm, Norton Sports Park, 289 Warminster Rd, Sheffield S8 8PS. You will also be able to catch the Sabrecats Stunt Cheerleading Blue Squad’s first performance of the year at half time.
