Season Finale Preview - vs. LJMU Fury

After the original fixture date was postponed due to the weather, the 1-6 Sheffield Sabres will host the 5-2 LJMU Fury in the final regular season game for both teams this Saturday. Both teams will be looking to end the 2019-20 season on a high note, with the Fury all but securing a play-off berth with a victory over the Hallam Warriors last week. The Sabres will be guaranteed a place in Division One next season by matching or bettering the UCLan Rams’ result against the unbeaten Leeds Gryphons.

The two teams met early in the season, with LJMU coming out on top 33-12 in the Week 2 match up. A victory for the Sabres will not only get revenge over the Fury, but will also give the team some much needed momentum going into the break leading up to their much anticipated Varsity fixture against the Hallam Warriors.

Kick-off against the LJMU Fury will be on Saturday 22nd February at 2pm, Norton Sports Park, Warminster Road, S8 8PS. Come and get behind the Black and Gold for one last time this regular season!
